Earlier this year, Radi Al-Rashed donated 1,000 of his Paul Harris Recognition Points to make Ryan Khalid a Paul Harris Fellow. Ryan's father is a friend and business acquaintance of Radi. Ryan is from Saudi Arabia and currently attending Georgetown University, located near McLean Virginia. Radi has had the opportunity to spend time with Ryan while visiting the Georgetown area.Richardson Rotary Club coordinated with the Rotary Club of McLean for the presentation of Ryan's Paul Harris pin and certificate. Ryan received his pin and certificate on July 9 at the Rotary Club of McLean which provided a Zoom link for Radi and other Richardson Rotary Club members to virtually attend the meeting and presentation. Several club members attended the meeting via Zoom and had a chance to interact with members of the McLean club.
Through the generosity of Radi and the coordinated efforts of the clubs, Ryan became a Paul Harris Fellow. He was so inspired by these Rotarians and their efforts that he has now joined the Rotary Club of McLean and has begun his journey as a Rotarian.
